Coco Martin said that he is very excited about his very first mainstream movie, Sa ‘Yo Lamang, that will include big stars like Bea Alonzo, Lorna Tolentino, Christopher de Leon, Shaina Magdayao, and Enchong Dee. “Masaya. Alam mo ‘yung makatrabaho mo lang sina Lorna, Christopher, kumbaga ‘yung pelikulang ginagawa namin eh yaman na ‘yan na balang araw kahit na hindi na ako nag-aartista, ipagmamalaki ko sa kahit sinong tao na nakagawa ako ng pelikula,” said Coco during his contract signing with Star Cinema last Monday, July 26. Aside from Sa ‘Yo Lamang, Coco is slated to do a horror-suspense flick with Kris Aquino and another one with John Lloyd Cruz. Considered to be the prince of indie movies, Coco said that he is glad to finally break into mainstream movies after he successfully penetrated mainstream TV.
For Sa ‘Yo Lamang, Coco is thrilled to be included in a stellar cast and to work with the highly respected director Laurice Guillen. The versatile actor recalled that during their first day of shooting, he felt really nervous that he forgot his lines, which has never happened before.
Good thing for Coco that since Direk Laurice knows how to work with Coco since she’s a member of Cinemalaya.
